Jan 16th Dog Search for a missing vulnerable female 47years of age. The missing person was       unfortunately located deceased in a pond by police whilst dogs en route.

Jan 21st Search Family of three missing on Derwent Edges in heavy snow, located near Back Tor, and walked off after warming up. Edale team also involved.

Feb 4th Snatch Fell runner fell descending Cut Gate track into the Derwent Valley badly twisting his ankle, evacuated to Slippery Stones and then by 4 x 4 back to the road head.

Feb 17th Medical Female on first aid course suffered severe asthma attack, dealt with by team members until ambulance arrived.

Feb 17th Medical Instructor on way home from first aid course came across car on its roof, stabilised driver and fitted neck collar before emergency services arrived.

Feb 22nd Dog Father and son missing on Kinder in misty weather, located near Crowden Brook and walked off to Edale. Search by Buxton, Edale and Kinder teams and 2 dogs.

Feb 25th Other Assist Police and Bomb Disposal with UXB on Broomhead moor.

Mar18th Snatch Team member, assisting with Edale Fell race, dealt with hypothermic runner.

Apr 10thSnatch Assist Edale with fallen climber, with pelvic injuries, at Rivelin rocks.

May 1st Dog  Called to assist Edale and Derby MRT's to search for a missing male in Linacre Woods near Chesterfield. The missing person was located by search dog Tyke and Ian Bunting @ 1815hrs at the head of a secluded wooded gulley

May 13th Other Assist in evacuation of 138 youngsters after Ten Tors was abandoned in atrocious weather.      Click here for news article

May 27th Other 3 Walkers walked off Bleaklow after getting lost in bad weather.

May 27th Search 17 14&15 yr olds and 4 staff from school assisted on Black Hill after getting separated in atrocious conditions, 2 suffered hypothermia, 2 got crag fast and the rest were just lost. Oldham & Holme Valley teams and SARDA also involved.

June 3rd Other 15 yr old mountain biker treated after falling off bike in quarry near Carnforth, came across by members retuning from lakes, treated and stabilised before being airlifted to hospital

June 17th Dog Put on standby along with Edale and Buxton MRTs to search for an over due Duke of     Edinburgh's group. Stood down when the group turned up under their own steam after taking a wrong turn earlier in the evening

June 25th SHEFFIELD FLOOD

• Help with the evacuation of people from an old person home at Station Street Deepcar.
  
  Team asked to move to Winn Cres Middlewood, Sheffield 200 people trapped in homes. Water 8ft deep. Both Fire Service & Police under water on site.
  
  Team then split, four 4x4 including Mobile Two plus 8 members moved onto Pennistone Rd Sheffield, to help trapped motorist,
  Rest plus Mobile One moved to old people's home at Eastwood Rotherham 42 people trapped in building, no lights or heating. One person airlifted by Seaking
  This was a six hour operation for these Team members.
  
  Smaller party were jointed by Edale MRT at the Wicker, Ladies Bridge, Sheffield, asked to check no persons were trapped in properties.
  
  WMRT asked to re cover body of 14yrs male how had fallen in the water at Millhouse park.
  
  Asked at the same time to assisted four people in house at Millsands Sheffield.
  
  Woodhead MRT stand down 05.00am.
  
  This was a Ten hours operation for Woodhead & Edale MRT's with many people Rescued.
  

July 20th Dog Called to assist Calder Va;lley SRTR in the search for 14 yr old male missing after     domestic with family. Misper located by Police shortly before RV reached

July 30th other Team members called from HQ to deal with RTA on double bend by HQ, motorcyclyst with a fractured shoulder, dealt with until ambulance arrived.

Aug 5th Snatch. 50 yr old female out walking with family in Black Clouth area of Bleaklow, fell and broke lower leg and ankle, airlifted to Hospital. Were the helicopter then needed rescueing.

Aug 7th Dog unit called to assist Edale, Buxton and Kinder search Kinder Scout for a man who went missing on a walk from Crowden to Edale. He had no map, torch or safety equipment. Found safe after making his own way down on the wrong side of the hill.

Aug 31 st Dog unit called to assist Rossendale with a search.

 

Sept 15th Dog unit, on holiday, assisted Cockermouth with search for 29yr old Polish walker exhausted, above Black Sail YH. Dog found walker, handler stayed with him till rescue team arrived.

 

Sept 15th Navigator called to assist SARDA with search on South side of Bleaklow for 2 missing youths.

Sept 22nd Dog unit called to assist Oldham with search of Pennine Way after shouts had been heard, nothing found, stood down 02-00

Oct 2nd Team member, on route to dog training, treated 2 x 16yr old's, one with serious head injuries, after motor cycle ran into stationary car,

Oct 6th Male walker on Grin & Bear it collapsed from suspected seizure, fall also injured face. taken to Barnsley hospital where he is to undergo a CT scan.

Oct 25 th   Put on standby to assist Oldham with walker who had a broken leg, problem actually locating walker, stood down when weather cleared for Police helicopter to locate and evacuate

Nov 2 nd   Assist SY Ambulance with a young mountain biker who had a leg injury in Wharncliffe woods.

Nov 20th Team member, running on Bleaklow, found the body of a 45yr old male, stayed on site and assisted Glossop Team and the police with recovery.

Dec 2nd Whilst covering the Marsden-Edale fell race, assisted 2 runners off the hill, 1treated for hypothermia, and was involved with Edale team with a search, after one of the runners was reported missing, located safe and well out of the area.

Dec 7th Provided back up and support for SARDA members searching for a 34 yr old male near Mexborough. Stood down at sunset, Police specialist search unit was to investigate findings

Dec 9th SARDA members called to assist Calder Valley with search near Todmorden

Dec 17th Search for a young male missing after going fishing, Middlewood area of Sheffield Edale and SARDA also involved, found by Police.
